Poor Focus Treatment
Poor Focus Treatment
At Health and Performance International in New York, we work with all people to develop concentration skills. Through an individualized biofeedback program, we train you to increase concentration, endurance, and focus. Each of these is related to therapy for optimal performance. The medical community likes to diagnose symptoms of poor concentration and focus as a condition of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADD/ADHD. The diagnosis is typically overused. Symptoms of poor concentration and focus, however, are no laughing matter, especially for young people. The symptoms can pose innumerable challenges for individuals, impacting relationships, careers and even personal safety.
The most common symptoms of poor concentration and focus are:
•Difficulty getting things in order when you have a task that requires organization
•Difficulty remembering appointments or obligations
•Avoiding or delaying getting started on a task that requires a lot of thought
•Fidgeting with your hands or feet when you have to sit down for a long time
•Feeling overly active and compelled to do things, like you are driven by a motor
•Easy frustration
•Low self-esteem
•Chronic anxiety
•Failure to see others’ needs
•Failure to learn from the past
•Anger and fear
•Embarrassment, jealousy
In our field of optimal performance using biofeedback technology, we have treated thousands of people in New York City over the course of 30 years. And one central aspect of the symptom of poor concentration is the combination of a nervous system too activated, or switched off, and disharmony amongst delta, theta, alpha and beta brainwaves.
At HPI in New York City we understand the symptoms of poor concentration and focus, and we know how to treat them.
